How to Fill In This Score Sheet

  1. Points column: Write the points earned by the winner of each hand (+points for the knocking player, or +points for the opponent in an undercut)
  2. Running column: Add to the previous running total after each hand
  3. Game bonus: When the first player hits 100, add +100 game bonus (or +200 if the loser won no hands at all)
  4. Final row: Add the game bonus to the running total for the true final score

Oklahoma Gin Scoring Variation

Oklahoma Gin changes the knock threshold each hand based on the first upcard:

FAQs

How is Gin Rummy scored?
The knocker scores the opponent’s deadwood minus their own. Going gin earns the opponent’s full deadwood + 25. An undercut earns the opponent the deadwood difference + 25.

What is the gin bonus?
25 extra points for going gin (zero deadwood when you knock).

What is the undercut bonus?
25 extra points if the opponent matches or beats your deadwood count when you knock — plus the deadwood difference.

What is the game bonus?
100 points added to the winner’s score when someone first reaches 100. If the loser won no hands (a shutout), the bonus is 200 instead.
