How to Play Euchre
Each player receives 5 cards from the 24-card deck, and one card is turned face-up to suggest trump. Players have the option to order up (accept the suggested trump), pass, or name another suit as trump in a second round of bidding. The partnership that calls trump must win at least 3 tricks to score 1 point (or 2 for winning all 5). Being euchred (winning 2 or fewer tricks after calling trump) awards 2 points to the defenders. Going alone and winning all 5 tricks scores 4 points. First team to 10 points wins.
